    Illustrations
    These where scanned at 400dpi then mostly reduced to 100dpi, a few however are at 150dpi to improve the readability of the text.
    The original fig 3 (as it contained only printed text) being a photographic extract from Dr. Ures Dictonary, has been been put through the OCR process and placed within the main text.
    The original engravings are wonderful, as an example I have extracted a part of figure 44 from my original scan, which you may compare with the complete version I've included, some of the fine detail as been lost, but the multitude of various widths of fine lines have converted well (after some processing) into the shades you see. Which is just the effect from the original book, seen from a comfortable distrance.
