
There were complaints about the sensitivity of the dry plates. First, Eastman had problems because he was distributing new plates before he was distributing old plates. However, even after rotating his stock properly, he continued to have problems. His plates were still not as sensitive as they should to be and they fogged up too easily. He went to England for about a month, in which he bought the formula of a successful English photographic producer and learned how to use the process. Luckily, these plates were successful and his business forged onward.<\P>
The success of Eastman's plates sparked other entrapeneurs to embark on the dry plate business. All of the competitors crowded the market and the price of the plates fell. The Eastman Dry Plate Company had encountered yet another glitch in their business plans.
