The Green Cone uses solar energy to create an aerobic environment ideal for dehydrating and decomposing food waste. Natural occurring microbes and nutrients in the below-ground digestion basket further decompose the food waste. The dual cone design creates a solar heat trap that effectively breaks down organic materials even on cold winter days. In addition, the Accelerator Powder included with the Green Cone speeds the decomposition cycle and eliminates odors. Decomposition will occur within two or three weeks. The Green Cone will only have to be emptied once or twice a year, and the resulting material may be mixed with peat moss for use in gardens or landscaping.
