Financial Community
The strength of Rochesters economy has been reflected in an unusually strong financial community. Rochester has nine commercial banks, eight savings institutions and numerous mortgage banking outlets. The top ten in terms of total dollar value of local deposits are: Citibank, Rochester Community Savings Bank, Chase Lincoln First Bank, Marine Midland Bank, First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Rochester, Central Trust Co., Norstar Bank, Columbia Banking Federal Savings and Loan Association, Eastman Savings & Loan Association, M&T Bank.
