BOTHERING A WITNESS.—A Little Rock paper tells a story of a youth put upon the
witness's stand, who was bothered by the counsel on the opposite sides—one complaining that he could not understand the witness, and the other claiming the protection of the court against such interruptions. Losing all patience, at last, the witness addressed himself to the court—"If you'll just stop 'em both, I'll tell my story so that the biggest fool in the house will understand it all."
