ANOTHER MASTADON. - The entire skeleton of another
monstrous animal has recently been discovered in Orange
County, about six miles from Newburg, and the largest of all
that have ever been found. An idea of the size of this
monster may be formed from the fact that the skull alone
weighs 700 lbs.-the tusks are nearly two feet long, and the
breadth across the hip bones is seven feet. We shall
probably be able to furnish further particulars in a few
days.
